SeeChange is an AI-driven company delivering visual AI solutions for retail loss prevention, product recognition, hazard detection, and operational insights to global brands. The company operates development hubs in the UK and Serbia and is scaling rapidly.
You will join the Core SeeWare Platform team as a Staff Software Engineer responsible for maintaining and evolving SeeWare, a modular, containerized AI platform that converts raw camera and sensor data into actionable insights. This role places you at the technical heart of the company's infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide tools to build, deploy, and maintain AI solutions using the SeeWare Platform, working with heterogeneous, distributed hardware environments running dynamically configured software.
- Create, deploy, and maintain containerized applications to provide and monitor end-to-end data flow of AI solutions.
- Support scaling the SeeWare Platform across thousands of retail stores while maintaining robust requirements for stability, auditability, and control.
- Collaborate with the QA team to ensure changes are validated before production release.
- Communicate system design and architecture to non-experts and cross-functional teams, recommending optimal solutions.
You will work from the Manchester or Belgrade office at least one day per week in a hybrid arrangement.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience and deep understanding of Golang as your primary programming language.
- Strong understanding of containerization, including Docker image creation and lifecycle management.
- Confident with Linux/Unix operating systems, particularly edge devices and cloud virtual machines.
- Automation-first mindset with hands-on experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate complex system design and architecture clearly to non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Legal right to work in the UK or Serbia.
Desirable experience:
- Integration with multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ansible for Infrastructure-as-Code deployments.
- Python to understand AI Solution team codebases.
