Anthropic is seeking a Staff+ Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Enterprise team, which focuses on making Claude enterprise-ready at scale. This is a high-agency role where you'll own technical design and delivery for enterprise-facing products end-to-end across the full stack—from admin consoles and governance surfaces to the APIs and data models behind them.
You'll partner closely with product, design, and go-to-market teams to translate enterprise customer workflows into shipped products. This role involves setting technical direction and standards for your team, including architecture, code quality, and engineering practices. You'll work directly with enterprise customers, admins, and sales during key conversations, translating customer needs into engineering priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own technical design and delivery for enterprise-facing products end-to-end across the stack
- Partner with product, design, and go-to-market to turn enterprise customer workflows into shipped product
- Set technical direction and standards for your team: architecture, code quality, and how the team builds
- Work directly with enterprise customers, admins, and sales during key conversations
- Build the primitives that let the world's largest organizations deploy, govern, and get value from Claude at scale
- Mentor other engineers and raise the technical bar across the team, working with influence rather than authority
You'll see your work land with real teams at the world's largest enterprises, building admin, governance, and management experiences that IT leaders, security teams, and end users touch every day.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with 2+ years at a Staff or equivalent technical leadership level
- Led the design and delivery of complex customer-facing products across the full stack
- Built enterprise SaaS products and understand what IT admins, security reviewers, and procurement teams need to say yes
- Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers and translating what you learn into technical decisions
- Built products from 0 to 1 in fast-moving environments, and can set technical direction with limited precedent to lean on
- Drive cross-team alignment to ship impactful work, with influence over authority
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a field relevant to the role
Strong candidates may also have:
- Experience with enterprise identity, permissions, and administration surfaces (SSO/SCIM, RBAC, audit, usage and spend visibility)
- Experience building AI products and turning model capabilities into applications people actually use
- Experience as startup founders or early-stage employees
