Salary: USD 220,000 - 331,000 / annual
Amplitude is a leading AI analytics platform serving over 4,700 customers including Atlassian, Burger King, NBCUniversal, and Square. The company helps product, data, and marketing teams analyze, test, and optimize user experiences using embedded AI agents.
You will join the engineering team building AI-native apps, agents, and tools that power Amplitude's internal operations. This is a full-stack, AI-first role spanning automation, integration, and data engineering. You will work across Finance, People Ops, Product Ops, Legal, HR, and other business functions, embedding with teams to understand their business problems and deliver solutions that accelerate time-to-value.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build full-stack applications and tools to solve high-leverage operational use cases across the business
- Build service connectors enabling AI and automation tools to work across business systems
- Evolve tools and processes to increase team velocity, simplify the technical stack, and leverage AI-native approaches
- Drive end-to-end reconciliation across financial systems from quote to revenue recognition, enabling cross-system reporting and traceability
- Own what you build across the full software development lifecycle
You will bring deep engineering experience shipping and running production services, with fluency in frontier AI technologies. Your work will directly impact how Amplitude's critical business functions operate.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of engineering experience shipping and running production services
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Full-stack development experience spanning frontend, backend, tools, and integrations
- Experience working with data warehouses and SQL-based systems
- Ability to translate business problems to technical solutions and software designs
- Experience with frontier AI tooling including harnesses, MCP servers, and agents
- Enthusiasm for understanding new business problems, learning unfamiliar systems, and evolving designs incrementally
- Curious and fast-learning across new domains
- Bias for action—comfortable rapidly iterating to turn business problems into prototypes and solutions
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience evaluating LLM systems using eval harnesses, regression suites, and accuracy tracking
- Familiarity with dbt, Snowflake, or medallion-style warehouse architecture
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, Zip, Ramp, or Stripe
- Prior work as an internal-tools, solutions, or platform engineer serving internal stakeholders
