ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to design and build next-generation AI Cost Management capabilities and Software Asset Management (ITAM) products. You will work at the intersection of UI, backend, and AI-driven engineering, architecting solutions that help enterprises understand, govern, optimize, and control AI spending across large-scale ecosystems.
The ITAM product empowers organizations to manage software licensing and compliance with precision. You'll own the full software development lifecycle—from design and implementation through testing and delivery—while partnering with product managers, architects, and quality engineers to improve product quality, efficiency, and performance.
The AI Cost Management product provides visibility into AI consumption, cost attribution, budgeting, forecasting, spend controls, alerts, and vendor integrations across AI services such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, and future AI providers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement AI-native product development using cutting-edge technical approaches
- Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (code reviews, unit testing)
- Own code from design through implementation, test automation, and delivery
- Collaborate with product managers to define feature sets that solve real customer problems
- Work with architects to shape product design and with QE to enhance quality and performance
- Contribute to new product features and enhance existing offerings
- Mentor peers and promote knowledge-sharing across the team

REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of delivering high-quality products
- Experience leveraging critical thinking about integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving (using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights)
- Hands-on experience with columnar/analytical data stores (ClickHouse, Apache Druid, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Vertica), including schema design, partitioning, and query optimization for large-scale analytical workloads
- Experience building and operating distributed data pipelines for high-volume ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation (Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, Airflow, dbt)
- Experience creating dashboards and analytic reports with Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar object-oriented languages
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Vue)
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Playwright, TestNG) and CI/CD pipeline integration
- Understanding of software quality principles including reliability, observability, and production readiness
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and optimize performance across the stack
- Experience with AI-powered tools or workflows, including validation of datasets, model predictions, and inference consistency
- Comfort with development tools (IDEs, debuggers, profilers, source control, Unix-based systems)
