Salary: USD 149,800 - 262,200 / annual
ServiceNow's Release & Instance Management team within Digital Technology is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build automation and AI capabilities for platform administration, inventory management, release planning, and continuous improvement across ServiceNow and related platforms.
In this role, you will leverage AI and ServiceNow platform workflows to standardize, streamline, and automate critical processes. You'll build tools to manage the complete lifecycle of production and sub-production environments, review processes to identify improvement opportunities, and help plan and support platform upgrades. You'll develop and share best practices based on lessons learned, and participate in on-call activities outside core hours when required.
This is a staff-level individual contributor role focused on longer-term continuous improvement, automation, and scaling of critical deployment processes. You'll evaluate and implement ServiceNow products such as Digital Product Release where needed, and work closely with application developers, product owners, internal users, and stakeholders across a large platform landscape.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 5+ years of IT industry experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage expectations in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Strong understanding of technology platforms, particularly web applications and SaaS platforms
- ServiceNow platform administration or development experience
- Familiarity/experience with SAP platforms is a plus
