As a Staff Full Stack Engineer, you will join the Consumer, Growth, and Care Expansion Pod as a key early member of the engineering team, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of the core platform. Reporting to the pod's Engineering Manager, you will take full ownership of major parts of the codebase, set ambitious timelines, and lead project deliverables. You will work side-by-side with engineering, product, design, and analytics teams to drive the development of critical features that lay the foundation for years to come. Your contributions will be essential in bringing the product roadmap to life and building scalable technology to transform interactions with patients, dietitians, and insurance companies.
Key responsibilities include: designing, building, and shipping cutting-edge products and features at speed without compromising quality; driving continuous improvements in engineering processes, tools, and systems to scale the codebase and team productivity; collaborating across product, design, engineering, and analytics to solve challenging problems in a data-driven experimentation culture; contributing to estimations, planning, and execution of projects, features, and integrations; maintaining and elevating the existing codebase; and writing clean, fully-tested, high-performance code that sets the standard for excellence.
The role is full-time hybrid out of Nourish's San Francisco office in the Financial District, and remote candidacy is welcomed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years as a Software Engineer with user-facing product experience
- 4+ years experience with the tech stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Prisma, PostgreSQL, Amplitude, including Mobile Engineering experience (React Native)
- Ability to independently take projects from idea through implementation and ship fast
- Passion for collaborative, close-knit team environments and making an impact
- Desire to be deeply involved in product and design, building end-to-end through design, coding, testing, and deployment phases
- First-principles thinking: asking why, challenging assumptions, and valuing the right answer over being right
