ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join its SRE team in Toronto. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on setting technical direction for reliability and release quality across multiple engineering teams. In this role, you will design, build, and operate cloud-native engineering platforms for software validation, release validation, and production readiness. You'll architect and maintain production-like release and test environments, build automated test pipelines with observability and quality gates integrated into CI/CD workflows, and reduce manual toil through automation and shift-left practices. You'll design and enhance Kubernetes-based platforms for test infrastructure, release automation, and developer self-service, implement automated checks for failure detection and deployment verification, and resolve complex platform, infrastructure, and networking challenges. Beyond hands-on technical work, you'll lead architecture reviews and design discussions, drive projects independently across teams, and mentor engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing. You'll promote a culture of reliability, automation, and operational excellence across the organization. ServiceNow's SRE team operates globally distributed cloud infrastructure at scale, supporting 85% of the Fortune 500. The role offers the opportunity to shape how the company validates, releases, and operates software at enterprise scale. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain Reliability Status, which generally requires Canadian citizenship or Canadian permanent resident status.
