WisdomAI builds AI-powered analytics that help teams move from data to decisions with speed, confidence, and context. The platform surfaces insights and explains the reasoning behind them, trusted by companies like Cisco, Patreon, and Rubrik.
As Staff Product Designer, you will set the product experience vision across multiple areas and define how the core surfaces fit together, the design system scales, and the craft standard of the company. This is a hands-on role where you'll still do the work yourself while making the designers around you better. You'll work directly with the VP of Design as a partner and help grow the team as it expands.
You'll tackle some of AI's most interesting design problems: how answers earn trust, how intelligent analytical agents create value and report back, how generated apps should feel, and how complex analysis becomes clear and actionable through data visualization. The role balances applying proven patterns with inventing new solutions. The product's entire promise is trust—people make real decisions from what you design. A chart that's technically correct but visually misleading is a failure; an answer that's right but illegible is a failure. Craft is the product working, not decoration.
Key responsibilities include: setting product experience vision and turning it into direction the team can build toward; taking on the most ambiguous, highest-stakes problems; shaping the roadmap alongside product and engineering leadership; designing moments where complexity becomes clarity (trustworthy AI answers, data visualizations, dashboards, apps, presentations, and intelligent agents); owning product coherence and interaction patterns; leading design system evolution; prototyping early and often with AI tools; mentoring designers and raising craft standards; helping shape how design works across R&D; helping grow the team; and talking to customers directly.
You'll work AI-forward, with exploration often starting in an LLM before moving to Figma, Paper, Claude, or Cursor. The team optimizes for velocity and quality without being precious about process or toolchain. At the staff level, you'll help define how the team works this way.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years designing exceptional products, ideally in B2B, data, AI, or other complex domains, including time leading work across multiple product areas
- Exceptional visual craft and taste; attention to detail (1px things) and knowing which ones matter
- Mastery of typography, color, spacing, and hierarchy
- Portfolio demonstrating product vision as well as execution: work where you defined direction, made complex systems feel simple, and shipped it
- Systems thinking: design patterns and frameworks that other designers build on; ability to show where your decisions shaped a whole product
- Track record of influence without authority (changed a roadmap, aligned leadership, set a standard a team adopted)
- Experience mentoring designers and raising team quality
- Strong appetite for designing with AI; hands-on experience with LLMs and AI prototyping tools strongly preferred; curiosity about emerging tools
NICE TO HAVES:
- Code or consider yourself part design engineer (conversant in components, states, how interfaces get built)
- Deep experience with data visualization and opinions about it
- Built or led a design system and know what it takes for shared components to scale
- Led design on fast-moving product teams where iteration and momentum win
- Been an early design hire or helped build a design team from the ground up
- Managed designers or ready to
