Form Energy is hiring a Staff Modeling Engineer to advance development of its iron-air battery technology. As part of the Battery Modeling team, you will build physics-based models and agentic workflows, collaborating with Battery Engineering and R&D teams to deploy models that inform critical technical decisions. You will identify and lead impactful projects to advance battery performance through multiphysics modeling. You'll identify conceptual gaps that may gate battery progress and solve them by aligning physics-based models with experimental data. You'll collaborate with partner teams to deliver data that informs multiphysics model development. A key aspect of this role is leveraging AI tools to enhance throughput—building and optimizing AI agents for physics discovery, model validation, and model optimization. You'll also support engineering and R&D efforts across Form by providing model-based tools to inform product design, controls strategies, and technical decisions. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of experience in multiphysics modeling of electrochemical systems (academic, industry, or combined) - PhD degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent - Proven collaborative track record and well-established technical communication skills - Experience at the intersection of battery modeling and AI agentic workflows is a plus
