Salary: USD 143,000 - 215,000 / annual

Relativity Space is building Terran R, a next-generation fully reusable rocket designed to deliver customer payloads to orbit. The Manufacturing team is deep in manufacturing trades and process development, responsible for factory floor layout, complex tooling, process implementation, and close collaboration with vehicle engineering to influence rocket design. In this Staff Manufacturing Engineer role focused on structures, you will own the shop floor for one or more primary structure assembly work centers, clearing barriers and maintaining production momentum. You will champion process improvements across work centers, incorporating learnings from the first Terran R build. Key responsibilities include partnering with design, manufacturing, and reliability engineers, production teams, and outside vendors to drive builds forward; writing work instructions, specifications, and best practices for high-fidelity processes; standardizing them across the manufacturing team; and providing Design for Manufacturing feedback to structures teams from development through prototype and flight builds. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll solve complex manufacturing challenges, make risk disposition calls to keep production moving, and directly influence the development of a commercial rocket program. You'll work across multiple teams in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment where your technical expertise and problem-solving directly impact the vehicle and business. **Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering discipline - 8+ years of related experience - Hands-on history supporting complex assembly builds, including making risk calls to disposition issues and keep production moving - Strong fundamentals in statics, mechanics of materials, process improvement and factory design, fastening and joining, and machining - Working knowledge of drilling and trim ops, tooling, inspection methods, and GD&T - Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work across engineering and manufacturing to understand process constraints and feed back manufacturability inputs - Self-motivated, able to prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment **Nice to have:** - Direct experience with drill, trim, and fastening operations on aerospace products - New product introduction of aerospace hardware system into manufacturing, test, and production with proven success - Project management experience in a fast-paced environment
