Lightfield is reimagining CRM as a world model of a business by learning from emails, meetings, and customer conversations to build a living understanding of how companies work. The AI can help teams anticipate what comes next, make better decisions, and take action. More than 5,000 companies have used the product since its November launch. The company has raised over $70M from top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, Maverick Ventures, and Greylock. The founding team previously built Tome (25M+ users) and brings experience from Llama, Instagram, Google, and Salesforce.
The AI/ML team builds experiences at the core of Lightfield's product, developing new applications to delight customers. The team is currently focused on building a powerful, domain-specific AI that outperforms generic LLMs.
In this role, you will:
- Create and ship magical, highly-differentiated AI experiences that sales teams are eager to use
- Craft Lightfield's AI/ML strategy in tight collaboration with founders and executives
- Identify user needs well-suited for AI/ML solutions, frame problems, and collaborate with product leaders on solutions
- Prototype innovative, LLM-powered experiences and drive their development into robust product features
- Help build a world-class AI/ML engineering team by recruiting and mentoring teammates
This is a Staff-level individual contributor role with significant influence over product direction and team growth. You'll work closely with leadership on strategic AI/ML initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, AI, or Applied Mathematics
- 7+ years of experience building AI/ML-based products in NLP domains
- Strong understanding of deep learning AI/ML frameworks or cloud services
- Hands-on MLOps experience

- Experience leading AI/ML product initiatives
- Publications in applied AI/ML scientific journals
- Experience with open source/vendor solutions in LLM ops space (LangChain, Llama, Pinecone, etc.)
