Credit Genie is a mobile-first financial wellness platform leveraging AI to provide personalized financial insights and tools. Founded in 2019 by Ed Harycki (former Swift Capital founder, acquired by PayPal), the company is backed by Khosla Ventures and led by industry veterans from PayPal, Square, and Cash App. As Staff iOS Engineer, you will architect the mobile app for the next 2-3 years of growth, leading key components as the company expands into new product areas. You'll work with high-quality, stable, low-latency standards while collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities include: - Architecting new products and defining compelling UX within the iOS mobile app - Providing iOS expertise to improve development practices, design patterns, deployment processes, and customer experience - Writing clean, readable, and reusable code for app design, features, components, and integrations - Collaborating with product, marketing, and stakeholders on KPI-aligned initiatives - Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle including code reviews, stand-ups, planning, and demos - Mentoring and developing other engineers on the team - Staying current with emerging technologies and evaluating their potential for the product suite The company expects in-office presence five days per week to foster collaboration and culture, though flexibility is available when circumstances require. REQUIREMENTS: - 8+ years of professional mobile development - Proficient in Swift (Swift 6 used) - Deep understanding of mobile app UX best practices - Experience leading large-scale projects and partnering with product, marketing, and engineering teams in iterative environments - Ability to propose, refine, implement, and update UX/product solutions to meet customer needs - Proficiency converting design mocks (including Figma files) to Swift code - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication skills NICE TO HAVE: - Experience with personal finance management (PFM) products - Understanding of UX design concepts and design systems - Comfort with design prototyping tools (Figma, Invision, Origami, Sketch) - Ability to maintain style guides and SwiftUI - Familiarity with consumer credit risk and customer lifecycle
