Wispr AI is building the voice interface for computing. The company's first products are Flow (a natural voice interface for any application) and Notetaker (which builds context across conversations). Wispr is working toward an interface that can perceive, understand, and take action with earned trust.
In this role, you will own the hard systems at the center of Wispr's product surface, spanning existing products, new launches, and feature-specific initiatives. You'll take ambiguous quality problems and make them measurable, solve them at their root, and build reusable approaches for the team.
Key responsibilities:
- Build the detection, inference, state, and delivery systems behind critical experiences
- Instrument difficult problems before choosing a solution
- Establish evidence of correctness when ground truth is unavailable
- Make principled tradeoffs across imperfect signals, edge cases, and user impact
- Turn persistent quality problems into comprehensible, repeatable systems
- Partner with product and platform teams to determine where systems should live
You'll combine systems thinking with product intuition and user empathy. You're a hands-on implementer who follows problems across boundaries, detail-oriented, and think from first principles. Experience with signal processing, fraud detection, ranking, anomaly detection, or ML evaluation may translate well. Prior experience in audio, speech, desktop, or any particular product domain is not required.
Wispr sponsors H1B, O1, EB1, L1, STEM OPT, and other visa categories. The company encourages applications even if you don't meet every qualification.
