Maxinsights is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to drive end-to-end production workflow optimization from a business perspective. In this role, you will map the complete production workflow from business demand through data processing to delivery, identifying bottlenecks that slow delivery, increase costs, or hurt quality. You will use operational data and frontline feedback to surface delays, rework, resource constraints, and ownership gaps. You will prioritize improvements by business impact, effort, and dependencies, then align teams on outcomes, responsibilities, and delivery milestones. This is a cross-functional leadership role: you will lead changes across infrastructure, services, tooling, and working practices, partnering with product, data, research, and operations teams through implementation and adoption. You will establish baselines for delivery lead time, throughput, quality, and unit cost, verify end-to-end gains, and turn successful changes into reusable capabilities. This role requires strong software engineering and architecture skills, with proven experience owning production systems and driving improvements across multiple services or teams. You must have exceptional cross-team communication and leadership abilities—the capacity to reconcile conflicting goals, clarify ownership, build consensus without direct authority, and keep joint work moving through completion. Strong product sense and business judgment are essential: you understand how technical constraints affect delivery and can identify the problem worth solving first. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, combining quantitative evidence with user feedback, and distinguishing symptoms from root causes across technical and organizational boundaries. Hands-on ability to design and implement practical solutions, with clear technical taste and attention to adoption, is required. Experience improving complex data production workflows or leading cross-team platform changes is a plus. When applying, describe a production workflow improvement you led: the business pain point, how you found the bottleneck, how you aligned teams, what changed, and the measurable outcome. Qualifications: - Strong software engineering and architecture skills - Proven experience owning production systems and driving improvements across multiple services or teams - Exceptional cross-team communication and leadership abilities - Strong product sense and business judgment - Ability to navigate ambiguity and combine quantitative evidence with user feedback - Hands-on ability to design and implement practical solutions - Experience improving complex data production workflows or leading cross-team platform changes (preferred)
