ARX Robotics is seeking a Staff Engineer, Vehicle Integration Lead to serve as the technical authority for integrating customer vehicles into the Mithra OS ecosystem—an AI-driven autonomy and software stack that transforms legacy fleets with standardized software and seamless integration.
You will own the entire technical journey from initial feasibility studies with vehicle OEMs through final commissioning and field testing of fully integrated autonomous systems. This is a deeply hands-on systems engineering role bridging complex machinery and intelligent software, with accountability spanning mechanical, electrical, and software domains to ensure every vehicle is robust, testable, and mission-ready.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end technical integration of customer vehicles into intelligent platforms powered by Mithra OS
- Deep-dive technical assessments of new vehicle platforms, defining integration paths with the autonomy stack
- Design and implementation of physical and mechatronic systems (computers, sensors, networks, power systems)
- Development of low-level vehicle control software and interfaces (CAN, LIN, ETH) for drive-by-wire and teleoperation
- Definition and execution of rigorous verification and validation plans from bench tests to live field trials
- Central technical coordination with vehicle OEMs, internal engineering teams, and partners
- Creation of tools, documentation, and reusable methods to scale integration capabilities
ARX Robotics is a dual-use technology company specializing in autonomous unmanned systems and sensors for the European defence sector, supporting NATO Armies and civilian first responders. The company is rapidly expanding and operates in a dynamic, collaborative environment focused on developing autonomous systems for challenging environments.
Requirements:
- Significant hands-on experience integrating and troubleshooting complex systems on robotics, automotive, defense, or industrial vehicles
- Expertise in vehicle electrical and network architectures, including CAN, LIN, Flexray, and Automotive Ethernet
- Practical, real-world skill in designing and implementing physical integrations for power distribution, harnesses, sensors, and compute hardware
- Cross-disciplinary mindset with ability to diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical, software, and networking domains
- Strong engineering judgment and healthy skepticism
- Experience working directly with OEM engineering teams and navigating their technical documentation
- Calm, methodical approach to solving tough problems in workshops, test facilities, and customer sites
