Salary: USD 200,000 - 253,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The company develops unmanned aerial systems (UAS) platforms including Anvil, Altius, and Ghost, powered by Lattice OS—an AI-powered operating system that integrates thousands of data streams into real-time 3D command and control centers. These systems operate in remote environments with limited user input, requiring high reliability and autonomous capabilities. You will join the team developing next-generation flight vehicles and edge compute/communications systems. The role involves leading end-to-end solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and system architecture. You'll design, develop, and maintain system components meeting functional and performance requirements in complex environments, conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure reliability and scalability, and work closely with hardware engineers and product managers to ensure seamless software-hardware integration. You'll also collaborate on defining and documenting software engineering processes and practices aligned with quality standards and regulatory requirements. This is a hybrid role based in Costa Mesa, CA, with up to 25% domestic travel for test planning and execution. The position requires hands-on expertise in systems design, integration, and testing, with deep familiarity across electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, and systems engineering disciplines. REQUIREMENTS: - 12+ years of industry experience in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or systems engineering - Passion for systems design, development, integration, and testing - Proficiency with systems modeling tools such as Cameo - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and ability to operate effectively in Agile environments - Hands-on prototyping, troubleshooting, and build experience with complex robotic systems - Experience developing automated test scripts and frameworks using common languages (Python, MATLAB, etc.) - Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills with strong verbal and written communication - Commitment to positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture - Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance - Willingness to work onsite at Costa Mesa headquarters and travel domestically up to 25% as needed PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Hands-on experience with prototyping, troubleshooting, and building complex robotic systems - Familiarity with IP-based networks - Experience with mission systems including communications systems and components - Familiarity with aviation airworthiness considerations - Current U.S. Secret security clearance or higher
