Roofr is a high-growth CRM platform for the roofing and home services industry, combining aerial measurements, digital proposals, payments, and material ordering into a unified platform. The company has strong financials and is at an exciting inflection point—successful yet early enough to offer significant growth and impact.
As a Staff Data Scientist, you'll be a critical technical leader turning raw data into insights and applications that shape strategy, fuel growth, and improve customer experience. This is not a reporting role; you'll partner directly with senior leadership and an experienced data & analytics team to drive data science and experimentation initiatives across sales, marketing, and product.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architecting optimization analyses and forecasts to identify opportunities across Growth, Strategy, Revenue, Marketing, and Product teams
- Partnering directly with executive leadership to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable decisions and process changes
- Designing counterfactual analyses and A/B tests to enable data-driven evolution of UX, product features, and customer experience
- Building data apps that automate and supercharge sales and marketing processes
- Owning projects end-to-end—from framing business questions to shipping models to presenting recommendations, with full autonomy
- Working on top of the semantic layer and DBT models powering the AI-driven analytics stack (Snowflake Cortex, Sigma, Claude, etc.)
- Creating data science frameworks, templates, and guides that data practitioners across the organization can leverage
You'll be self-driven and organized, able to manage projects across cross-functional stakeholder groups with minimal oversight. You spot opportunities, make the case, and drive them through. You're an exceptional communicator and presenter, equally comfortable with executive leadership or deep in the data. You're a true team player who loves brainstorming, peer reviews, and pressure-testing ideas.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of experience in data science in a fast-moving business setting, with a track record of running the show on ambiguous, high-stakes problems
- Hands-on experience with a modern cloud data stack: Snowflake, DBT, and various BI tools (Sigma, Looker, Metabase, Omni, or similar)
- Strong SQL and statistical modeling skills, with a track record of building forecasting and causal inference models
- Love of documentation and Git—you enable others to build on top of your work
- Appreciation for scalable data models; you contribute to the shared semantic layer and let the whole organization benefit
- Comfort equally with scrappy new analyses or apps and building scalable products that meet stringent quality standards
