Salary: USD 55,000 - 60,000 / annual

The Staff Accountant will execute accounting policies and processes to support the company's financial goals, working closely with the Senior Staff Accountant and CFO to maintain accurate, up-to-date books for timely decision-making and reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage accounts receivable and maintain customer records
- Enter sales orders, billing schedules, customer contacts, and invoicing requirements into NetSuite
- Handle customer setup, invoice generation and submission, and escalate vendor issues to cross-functional leaders
- Drive collections activities, including follow-up messages and escalations
- Manage sales tax calculation and filing to ensure coding accuracy and timely returns
- Categorize daily banking transactions including customer payments
- Support commission calculations, capitalization, and accounting entries
- Assist with monthly close processes, including journal entries for revenue recognition and sales tax payable
- Cross-train on payables processes to provide team coverage
- Work with the Finance Team to ensure accurate financial statements
- Contribute to optimizing accounting systems and procedures
- Support annual audit preparations and tax requests
- Assist with maintaining internal controls and accurate record-keeping
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and thrive in a high-volume environment with excellent analytical skills and in-depth accounting knowledge.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- 2+ years of remote office work experience
- Bachelor's degree required; concentration in accounting or finance preferred
- Knowledge of corporate finance, accounting theory, principles, and practices including GAAP
- Experience with multi-currency financial reporting and consolidation preferred
- Knowledge of ASC 606 standards, including revenue recognition and commissions accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite accounting software and Salesforce CRM
- Experience working with Mac OS X in a professional setting preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills with high attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication skills
