This Staff Accountant role is based in India and requires regular alignment with U.S. Eastern business hours. The position is primarily night-shift (6:30 PM–3:30 AM IST during daylight saving time, 7:30 PM–4:30 AM IST during standard time), with flexibility expected during quarter-end and year-end close periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures for key balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and conduct flux analysis
- Manage assigned accounts including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accrued liabilities, credit cards, and intangibles
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support the accounting close process
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for assigned areas
- Support financial statement audits and tax filings
- Optimize and support accounting platforms including NetSuite, Floqast, and Navan
- Execute ad-hoc projects as needed
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate accounting
- NetSuite experience (required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Highly self-motivated
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
Desirable (not required):
- Prior experience with Floqast and Navan Expense + Travel
- CPA with Big 4 experience
