Zscaler is seeking a Senior Staff Software Development Engineer to join its engineering team in Bangalore on a hybrid basis. You will work on the Zero Trust Exchange platform, the world's largest in-line cloud security platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deliver innovative zero-trust cybersecurity solutions.
In this role, you will partner with Product Management to drive detailed product requirements and define software design specifications. You'll implement bug-free code using test-driven methodology, refactor existing code for maintainability and reusability, and collaborate closely with security, UI, platform, analytics, and quality assurance teams. You will diagnose complex customer issues and take ownership of issue resolution, bringing your vision and passion to a team of experts enabling organizations worldwide to adopt cloud-first strategies.

Requirements:
- 8+ years of software development experience building large-scale applications using Python, Golang, or C/C++
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions within your functional domain
- Hands-on experience with public cloud services infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Good knowledge of cloud networking: transit gateway, IGW, NATGW, NACL, security groups, GWLB, ILB, Route53, Azure DNS
- Strong knowledge of firewalls and networking protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leveraging AI/ML models to automate identity threat detection, optimize access management policies, or enhance cloud security operations
- Strong distributed systems and SaaS development experience
- Familiarity with identity management and authentication
