ServiceNow Veza (acquired March 2026) is building the intelligence layer for identity security, helping enterprises answer: who and what can access critical resources, and what should be done about it? The Access Security team turns complex identity and access data into clear, actionable product experiences so customers can uncover risky access, prioritize remediation, and reduce exposure before issues become incidents.
You will join as a full-stack Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, optimize, and maintain Access Security features that use AI to improve access intelligence, risk detection, and remediation workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, engineering leadership) to deliver end-to-end product experiences, from React-based interfaces and API design to secure, scalable backend services and AI-assisted workflows that operate reliably in enterprise environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with product, design, and engineering leaders to define product experiences balancing customer value, usability, technical depth, performance, and business impact.
- Champion responsible use of LLM frameworks, AI agents, and AI-driven access intelligence to create differentiated enterprise capabilities for identity and access use cases.
- Explore emerging technologies and patterns in identity and access management to deliver greater customer value while improving solution resilience, scalability, and performance.
- Participate in all technical aspects of team deliverables: architecture, design, quality, performance, maintainability, and code reviews.
- Integrate automated testing into development workflows to ensure consistent quality across releases.
- Design and build intuitive, performant user interfaces that help customers investigate access risk, understand recommendations, and take remediation actions with confidence.
- Adopt and improve engineering practices, raising quality standards, and fostering continuous improvement in testing, reliability, and production readiness.
- Own end-to-end feature delivery, steering capabilities from early product discovery and architecture through implementation, release, operational oversight, and ongoing stability.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of identity security, AI, and full-stack product engineering, with room to influence technical direction, shape customer-facing experiences, and help define how enterprises understand and remediate access risk.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Applied AI experience: Practical experience integrating AI, ML, or LLM capabilities into production workflows, such as decision support, risk analysis, automation, or security-focused access intelligence.
- 8+ years in full-stack software development, with technical hands-on experience building complex enterprise production software including frontend and backend portions.
- Strong proficiency in Go, JavaScript, and TypeScript, along with other key programming languages such as Python or Java, with ability to make sound architectural decisions across frontend and backend systems.
- Apply modern frontend engineering practices, including component design, state management, accessibility, observability, and frontend performance optimization.
- Expertise designing and implementing RESTful, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs, with proficiency in data modeling, SQL, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and graph technologies.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance optimization.
- Proven track record of delivering complete end-to-end solutions from conception to launch.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), IGA, and PAM solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on familiarity building with cutting-edge LLM frameworks and provider libraries like OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong sense of ownership and customer focus, with passion for user experience and staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
