As a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) based in Pune, you will develop top-tier SaaS solutions that enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability in government agencies. You will be a crucial member of the engineering team, leading and delivering new features and improvements in a fast-paced, agile environment using modern technologies such as ReactJS, TypeScript, GraphQL, and NodeJS.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating across the organization to understand and translate business priorities into shipped features that deliver customer success
- Generating clean, efficient, and well-documented software following industry best practices
- Providing leadership and technical guidance to ensure the development of resilient, scalable SaaS applications
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex technical issues
- Mentoring and guiding junior software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Contributing to OpenGov's engineering culture of innovation, leading-edge technology adoption, and quality
- Cultivating customer empathy to ensure solutions exceed customer expectations
- Driving continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and operational excellence
- Staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends, advocating for their adoption where appropriate

REQUIREMENTS:
- 8+ years of experience developing highly scalable cloud-native applications
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS (MUST-HAVE)
- Proficiency with event-driven architecture, API integration, and GraphQL (MUST-HAVE)
- Deep experience building applications on either Azure or AWS using latest CI/CD and DevOps best practices
- Prior experience in .NET stack
- Prior experience building applications leveraging modern tools like Grafana for observability and performance monitoring
- Experience working across the stack (frontend + backend) and comfort shipping features end-to-end
- Experience building with AI-driven UX, agents, and workflow automation (direct ML experience not required)
- Demonstrated experience working with customers to improve product experiences
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, ambiguous environment
- BA/BS in a computer science-related field or equivalent experience required
