Veza, now part of ServiceNow following its March 2026 acquisition, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain backend services for its Access Graph platform—a cutting-edge identity security solution that maps enterprise identity ecosystems across users, groups, roles, policies, permissions, and resources.
In this role, you will work closely with product managers, other software engineers, UX designers, and security experts to build robust, scalable, and secure solutions. Your responsibilities include:
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable backend services
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to build product features that meet business objectives and security standards
• Implement logging, monitoring, and auditing capabilities to ensure visibility and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Continuously optimize and improve platform performance, security, and scalability through code reviews, testing, and refactoring
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation
Veza's Access Graph platform currently manages over 30 billion access permissions for global enterprises including Blackstone, Expedia, and Wynn Resorts. The combination of Veza's AI-native Access Graph with ServiceNow's AI Control Tower and agentic workflows creates a unique opportunity to work on next-generation identity security at scale.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong experience in backend programming languages (Java, Go, C++, Rust, Python, or similar)
• Background in enterprise-grade distributed systems
• Strong understanding and experience with AI development tools
• Deep understanding of good software design principles combined with practical mindset
• Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
• Solid understanding of databases (e.g., relational) and caching mechanisms
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Background in Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) industry is a plus
