Extreme Networks is seeking an experienced Senior Workato Integration & AI Automation Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise integrations and AI-powered automation workflows. This role combines deep integration platform expertise with emerging AI/GenAI capabilities to solve complex business automation challenges.
You will design and develop complex Workato recipes, custom connectors, and automation workflows that integrate enterprise applications including Salesforce, ServiceNow, Oracle, Snowflake, and various marketing and SaaS platforms. You'll architect end-to-end integration solutions, handling system interactions, data flows, and ensuring enterprise-grade security and scalability.
A significant portion of this role involves building AI-powered automations using Large Language Models and enterprise data. You will develop agentic workflows where AI agents retrieve data, reason over information, and execute actions across applications. This includes designing RAG-based applications that combine enterprise knowledge sources with LLMs, implementing MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations, and building AI agents with proper error handling and observability.
On the technical side, you'll develop Python utilities and services for data processing, API orchestration, and AI integrations. You'll work with REST APIs, webhooks, event-driven architectures, queues, and asynchronous processing patterns. You'll implement robust error handling, retry mechanisms, logging, and monitoring to ensure integration reliability.
You'll partner with architects, developers, business analysts, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable automation solutions, troubleshoot complex integration and API issues, and ensure all solutions meet enterprise standards for security, performance, and maintainability.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of strong hands-on Workato experience, including Workato Recipes, Custom Connectors, API Platform/API Recipes, Webhooks, Callable Recipes, error handling, monitoring, and complex data transformations
- Strong hands-on Python programming experience
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, Webhooks, API authentication, event-driven architecture, and data integration patterns
- Experience designing enterprise integration architecture and system-to-system data flows
- Experience integrating multiple SaaS and enterprise applications
- Experience with AI/GenAI and Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompt engineering and AI-powered automation
- Understanding or hands-on experience with AI Agents, Agentic workflows, MCP, RAG, and vector databases/embeddings
- Ability to independently design and implement end-to-end automation solutions
