Relativity Space is building Terran R, a next-generation fully reusable rocket designed to deliver customer payloads to orbit. The Manufacturing team is deep in manufacturing trades and process development, responsible for factory floor layout, complex tooling and processes, and influencing vehicle design through manufacturability feedback.
In this role, you will own the shop floor for one or more primary structure assembly work centers, clearing barriers and keeping production moving. You will champion process improvements across work centers, incorporating learnings from the first Terran R build. You will partner with design, manufacturing, and reliability engineers, production teams, and outside vendors to drive builds forward. You will write work instructions, specifications, and best practices for high-fidelity processes and standardize them across the manufacturing team. You will provide Design for Manufacturing feedback to structures teams from development through the first prototype and flight builds.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where you'll have autonomy and ownership at every level. You'll solve problems that haven't been solved before and see your work come to life in record time. The role offers the opportunity to shape decisions and influence both the product and the process at a critical moment in the company's development.
