Suno is the world's fastest-growing consumer entertainment platform and leader in AI music generation, backed by top-tier investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed, and NVIDIA Ventures. The company enables millions of users—from casual creators to Grammy winners—to generate music at unprecedented scale. You will lead Trust & Safety Policy at Suno, owning the complete policy portfolio as the platform scales. This role sits at the intersection of product safety, regulatory compliance, and technical enforcement, requiring you to translate policy principles into machine-enforceable rules that operate at millions of generations per day. Key responsibilities include: - Own the end-to-end Trust & Safety policy portfolio: content policies, behavior standards, enforcement criteria, and the policy roadmap as generation volume grows. - Write policies that machines can enforce: develop decision trees, model thresholds, labeling taxonomies, and reviewer guidance that produce consistent outcomes at scale. - Lead policy for generative AI music challenges: artist voice impersonation, rights-adjacent abuse, synthetic content disclosure, and prompt-level misuse, in partnership with Legal. - Convert regulatory obligations (DSA, OSA, emerging AI-content regimes) into enforceable internal policy and audit-ready documentation. - Run the full policy lifecycle: risk assessment, stakeholder review, launch guidance, enforcement calibration, and post-launch effectiveness measurement. - Establish escalation frameworks and edge-case decision protocols so novel cases become precedent rather than one-off judgments. - Publish external-facing policy: community guidelines, transparency reports, and creator-friendly policy explanations. - Partner with Product and Engineering early to shape features before launch rather than remediate after. You will report to the Head of Trust & Safety and collaborate regularly with Comms, Product, Engineering, ML, and Legal teams. REQUIREMENTS: - 7+ years in trust & safety, platform policy, or integrity work, including 3+ years owning a policy domain at a UGC or generative AI platform. - Portfolio of shipped policies demonstrating risk assessment, enforcement design, and post-launch iteration. - Demonstrated experience making policy machine-enforceable: decision trees, model thresholds, labeling taxonomies, or reviewer guidance that produced measurable consistency gains. - Fluency in regulatory landscape (DSA, OSA, emerging AI-content regimes) with a track record of converting obligations into operational requirements. - Working knowledge of music rights, IP, or media licensing sufficient to write credible policy alongside Legal. - Evidence of moving Product, Engineering, and Legal to adopt policy positions they did not initially support. - Writing that operators, executives, and regulators can each use: precise enough to enforce, clear enough to defend publicly. NICE TO HAVE: - Music, media, or IP-adjacent platform experience and fluency in rights-matching abuse patterns. - Direct operational exposure to DSA, OSA, or emerging AI-content regulatory regimes.
