- Advising on product, data usage, privacy, and IP matters
- Identifying and managing legal and regulatory risks in commercial transactions and product development
- Supporting corporate governance, entity management, and internal policies
- Working cross-functionally to help the company move quickly and responsibly
You'll have the opportunity to build foundational legal infrastructure from the ground up, influence strategy and GTM, and shape how the company scales.
The role offers flexible location options (D.C., Boston, or SF Bay Area with 2 work-from-home days per week), competitive pay plus equity, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.
REQUIREMENTS:
- JD and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 6–10 years of legal experience, with strong preference for background spanning both leading law firm and in-house legal team
- Deep experience drafting, negotiating, and structuring commercial agreements, including complex and strategic transactions
- Hands-on experience with data center transactions or the broader data center ecosystem (experience at or advising data center operators, neoclouds, hyperscalers, energy technology companies, or related businesses)
- Experience working cross-functionally with business, technical, and executive teams
- Strong business judgment and ability to assess legal and commercial risk, make pragmatic recommendations, and help teams reach decisions effectively
PREFERRED:
- Experience with utility, interconnection, energy services, or other energy-related agreements
- Experience with energy technology, AI/ML, cloud, or infrastructure-related companies
- Exposure to regulated industries (e.g., energy)
