Fictiv, a division of MISUMI Group, is seeking a Senior Manager of Business Operations to serve as a strategic chief of staff to the SVP of Operations & Supply Chain. This role is based in Fictiv's Bangalore Global Capability Center and reports directly to the SVP, who leads the company's global manufacturing and supply chain organization across the US, Mexico, Japan, India, and China. This is not a traditional executive assistant role. You will extend the SVP's leadership capacity by owning the organization's operating cadence, driving strategic initiatives from ambiguity to measurable outcomes, preparing analysis and narratives behind key decisions, and ensuring commitments across a global, matrixed organization are kept. Key responsibilities include: • Design and continuously improve the operating rhythm of the Operations & Supply Chain organization—weekly leadership staff meetings, monthly and quarterly business reviews, regional deep dives, and goal-setting cycles. Build agendas and pre-reads, ensure decisions reach the right forums, capture actions, and drive follow-through to closure. • Directly lead selected cross-regional, cross-functional strategic initiatives on behalf of the SVP—from problem framing and work-plan structuring through mobilizing owners, removing blockers, and landing measurable outcomes. • Prepare the SVP for high-stakes decisions and escalations by gathering and pressure-testing inputs, building first-draft analyses and business cases, framing options with clear trade-offs, and synthesizing complex situations into crisp recommendations. • Draft high-quality executive content on behalf of the SVP—executive-team materials, organizational narratives, all-hands content, and updates to corporate and parent-company stakeholders. • Administer the organization's goals and KPIs, track progress against commitments, surface risks early with recommended interventions, and prepare data-grounded status reporting. • Run key meetings end-to-end—agenda, facilitation, minutes, decisions, and action tracking. Represent the SVP in forums where appropriate, exercising sound judgment on their behalf. • Build trusted relationships across regional teams (US, Japan, Mexico, India, China) and functional partners (Finance, People, Product, Commercial). Sense organizational health and surface what the SVP needs to hear. • Manage the SVP's calendar as a reflection of organizational priorities, architect weeks around what matters most, make deliberate trade-offs on their time, and coordinate complex international travel tied to business objectives. • Operate with absolute discretion and professionalism when handling highly sensitive information—personnel matters, organizational changes, strategy, and financials. • Take on ambiguous, high-priority special projects as they arise with an ownership mentality and minimal direction. The ideal candidate is a structured, analytical operator with outstanding judgment and communication skills who can move fluidly between synthesizing data into recommendations, drafting executive narratives, running cross-regional programs, and managing priorities strategically. This role requires working 9–5 US Central time, approximately 7:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. IST. International travel of 5–10% annually may be required to other countries (US, Mexico, China, Japan) for offsites and team meetings. Qualifications: • 9+ years of experience in business operations, chief of staff, management consulting, supply chain/manufacturing operations, or program management roles, including significant time supporting or working directly with senior executives. • Demonstrated track record of owning cross-functional programs end-to-end and delivering measurable business outcomes in a fast-paced, global environment. • Strong analytical skills: fluency in Excel/Google Sheets, comfort working with KPIs and dashboards, and ability to turn imperfect data into clear, defensible recommendations. • Exceptional written and verbal communication in English, including ability to draft executive-quality documents, narratives, and presentations with minimal editing. • Structured problem-solver with high ownership and bias for action; comfortable operating with ambiguity and minimal direction. • Outstanding judgment, discretion, and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information. • Proven ability to build influence without authority across regions, functions, and levels—including senior leaders—and across significant time zone differences. • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree a plus. Preferred skills and experience: • Domain exposure to manufacturing, hardware, or supply chain operations. • Experience operating in a multinational, matrixed organization—including working with parent-company or corporate stakeholders across cultures. • Proficiency with modern collaboration and productivity tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Confluence/Jira) and BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau); enthusiasm for using AI tools to increase personal and organizational leverage. • Experience designing and executing executive events, offsites, and all-hands meetings for a global audience. • Formal project management training or certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
