Salary: USD 203,400 - 275,200 / annual
Twitch is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Android Platform team to lead strategic vision and execution for the company's mobile experiences. You will manage a talented engineering team responsible for building core tools, services, and frameworks that power Twitch's Android platform, enabling creators and viewers to have delightful, secure, and reliable experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and communicate a strategic vision for the Android platform team, partnering with product management and the iOS platform team to shape Twitch's mobile strategy
- Build and execute a roadmap that delivers transformative software aligned with this vision
- Improve the developer experience to accelerate feature launches for creators and viewers
- Drive continuous improvements in software development processes, testing, metrics, and operational excellence
- Define KPIs to track team progress and measure customer delight
- Foster a collaborative, innovative culture that embraces diverse perspectives and resolves complex challenges
- Mentor and develop your engineers, supporting their career growth and success
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineering leaders
You will work from one of three locations: San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or New York, NY.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional mobile software development experience
- 3+ years as an engineering manager or team lead
- Experience shipping Android apps at scale
- Experience hiring and developing remote engineers
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineering leaders
Bonus qualifications:
- Familiarity with React Native or equivalent mobile web technology
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
