Salary: USD 212,700 - 287,700 / annual
Twitch is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Android Platform team within Product Core Engineering. You will shape the strategic vision and execution for Twitch's mobile experiences, leading a talented team that delivers core tools, services, and frameworks for Android development. Your mission is to empower engineers to build delightful, secure, and reliable experiences for millions of creators and communities worldwide.
Key responsibilities include:
- Crafting an inspiring strategic vision for the team and forging impactful partnerships with product management and the iOS Platform team to shape Twitch's mobile platform strategy
- Architecting a bold roadmap and delivering transformative software that brings the vision to life
- Increasing the rate of feature launches for creators and viewers by providing a first-class developer experience
- Driving relentless improvements to software development processes, metrics, testing, and operational excellence
- Defining insightful KPIs to track team progress and advance operational excellence
- Communicating passion and ideas with eloquence across the organization
- Fostering a collaborative, innovative culture that harmonizes diverse viewpoints and resolves complex challenges
- Nurturing the careers of talented engineers, empowering them to reach new levels of growth and success
You will have the flexibility to work from San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or New York, NY.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional mobile software development experience
- 3+ years as an engineering manager or team lead
- Experience shipping Android apps at scale
- Experience hiring and developing remote engineers
- Experience collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineering leaders in cross-functional groups
Bonus qualifications:
- Familiarity with React Native or equivalent mobile web technology
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
