Tenstorrent is seeking a Senior Engineer to improve the reliability, performance, and user experience of the high-performance computing infrastructure supporting silicon development. This role sits at the intersection of EDA (Electronic Design Automation), distributed systems, CI/CD, and developer productivity.
You will help engineering teams run simulations, verification, coverage, and other silicon-development workloads with fewer failures, shorter feedback cycles, and better operational visibility. Key responsibilities include:
• Design, build, and maintain reliable build, execution, and simulation flows for verification, functional safety, formal analysis, and EDA processes
• Analyze system performance bottlenecks, workload patterns, and infrastructure execution to optimize throughput and reduce engineer wait times
• Build resilient, monitored operational services with automated recovery, actionable diagnostics, and feedback loops for CI/CD and repository health
• Develop AI-agent workflows, tools, and reusable skills that accelerate problem-solving and streamline software development and testing practices
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to transform recurring hardware and software integration failures into durable system solutions
You will gain hands-on experience developing infrastructure and automated workflows that support AI-assisted, autonomous engineering on production codebases. You'll architect end-to-end infrastructure solutions targeting complex challenges in high-performance computing and semiconductor design, and apply agentic AI frameworks directly to automated test staging, failure diagnosis, and production-grade engineering workflows. You'll also develop comprehensive technical exposure to industrial EDA toolchains, verification methodology, and hardware execution flows for RISC-V cores.
Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. The company has developed a high-performance RISC-V CPU from scratch and is building an AI platform that unifies innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors.
The role is hybrid, based out of Austin, TX. The company welcomes candidates at various experience levels and will assess candidates during the interview process for the appropriate level, with offers aligning accordingly.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced engineering degree (BS, MS, or PhD in EE, ECE, CS, or related field) paired with over seven years of hands-on industry experience
• Expertise in Git branch strategies, merge conflict resolution, operational failure debugging, and software engineering repository management practices
• Practical working knowledge of SQL databases, data query optimization, and modern structured data technologies
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows to solve complex technical problems, enhance automated testing, and streamline debugging
• Systems-oriented mindset driven to unblock technical teams, eliminate developer friction, and elevate overall productivity
• Proficiency with tools including Python, GitLab, Jenkins, Simscope, SQL, VCS, Cursor, Claude, LSF, Jasper, and Z01X
