As Solutions Integration Architect, you will build the technical foundation powering Zip's ERP and integration ecosystem, with a specific focus on SAP. Reporting to Engineering, you'll design, maintain, and iterate on Zip-owned ERP and integration templates that enable scalable, repeatable customer implementations. Your work will directly influence how hundreds of future implementations are delivered and will raise the technical bar across both internal EPD teams and the customer-facing technical consultant organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architect and standardize SAP integrations by designing, building, maintaining, and iterating on Zip's core SAP (ECC and S/4HANA) and Ariba integration templates to ensure scalable, repeatable, and robust customer implementations
- Bridge product and field teams by working closely with Engineering, Product, and Design to keep integration templates aligned with core product architecture, field insights, and emerging customer needs
- Convert complex customer implementations into reusable assets by analyzing bespoke solutions to identify reusable data mapping patterns and system nuances
- Support pre-sales engineering by partnering with account teams to design and vet integration architectures during the sales process
- Drive technical implementation excellence by defining, documenting, and championing best practices across all implementations
- Develop multi-ERP expertise by leveraging existing SAP and P2P knowledge (MM/FI modules) to build fluency across additional ERP ecosystems and become a subject matter expert on integration architecture and Zip's App Studio
- Build for permanent scale by approaching technical challenges with an engineering mindset, designing solutions thoroughly once so future implementations happen effortlessly
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience delivering integrations with SAP ERP environments (ECC, S/4HANA) or procurement platforms (Ariba)
- Strong foundational knowledge of core SAP business processes and data models within Materials Management (MM) and Financials (FI)
- Familiarity with standard SAP integration methods such as IDocs, BAPI/RFC, OData APIs, or SAP BTP/CPI
- Familiarity with iPaaS tools preferred; strong core integration logic with ability to learn new platform tools quickly
- Experience working with XML/REST-based endpoints and standard authentication protocols
- Past ERP implementation, integration, configuration, or administration experience required
- Ability to translate highly technical information for audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge
- Comfortable working with API documentation, testing and troubleshooting integration errors
- Ability to understand customer requirements and document information quickly with minimal oversight
- Continuous learner open to new technologies
