Immutable is a gaming MarTech platform founded in 2018 and headquartered in Sydney. The company's mission is to help game studios find their audience through Audience, a growth platform that solves the problem of games not reaching the players they deserve.
You will join as a hands-on product engineer building Audience, working at the intersection of engineering, product, and data. You'll own outcomes end-to-end, from identifying customer problems through shipping features into a live product used by paying game studios.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning features end-to-end, from customer problem through shipping into production
- Building attribution and measurement systems (click tracking, identity capture, install attribution, conversion postbacks)
- Shaping Engage, the lifecycle and messaging engine (campaigns, journeys, segmentation, deliverability, A/B testing)
- Contributing to the AI CMO product and orchestration layer that encodes real marketing expertise
- Working AI-native by default using Cursor, Claude Code, and internal coding agents in the PR loop
- Collaborating directly with Product, Design, Data teams and founders; talking to studios using your work
The platform spans multiple initiatives including attribution/measurement (built from scratch), engagement (lifecycle and messaging engine for games), and AI growth (an AI CMO that audits marketing and recommends next actions).
Tech stack: TypeScript (frontend and backend), Go, Next.js, React, BigQuery-based CDP, AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, AI tooling (Cursor, Claude Code), Linear for project tracking.
How we work: Small teams owning their outcomes. Fast iteration via CI/CD rather than big-bang releases. AI handles mechanical work so you focus on judgment, taste, and customer needs.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of engineering experience in a product-driven environment
- Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript (both frontend and backend); Golang is a must-have
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments
- Empathy-driven communication and ability to work across varied stakeholders
- Experience mentoring and sharing best practices with junior engineers
- Passion for user-first product development and operational excellence
- Startup or entrepreneurial experience is a plus
- Keen interest in gaming and willingness to learn fast
Strong candidates may also have:
- Experience building product at marketing, growth, attribution, customer-data, or customer-engagement companies (familiar with segments, attribution, user acquisition, CDP, CEP, lifecycle, deliverability)
- Experience taking a product from 0 to 1, defining first version and cutting scope yourself with customer-problem-first thinking
- Day-to-day experience building with AI agents and real opinions about where they help, where they don't, and when not to trust them
- Experience building and shipping AI or LLM-powered product features
