As a Solutions Architect within Professional Services, you will be the flagship technical resource delivering projects ranging from small deployments to large-scale consulting engagements. You will work directly with enterprise customers to understand their data and information management environments, then design and implement solutions across Modern Data Protection, Multi-Cloud, Archive & Compliance, Ransomware/Disaster Recovery, and Operational Improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engage with customers to assess their data management environment and develop pragmatic solutions
- Design, implement, and remediate backup and recovery solutions using validated consultative methods
- Install and configure Commvault hardware and software to meet technical and business requirements
- Assess customer technical readiness and prerequisites before project execution
- Perform data migration from legacy backup infrastructure to new Commvault platforms
- Install and configure backup agents for applications, databases, and hypervisors
- Troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with support and development teams
- Provide daily project progress updates to Project Managers
- Complete project documentation including User Acceptance Test Plans and As-Built Documentation
- Stay current on latest methodologies for optimal project delivery
- Collaborate with Technical Architects from regional teams on global customer engagements
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout all client engagements
Requirements:
- Advanced Commvault solution experience with hands-on implementation and troubleshooting
- Advanced Commvault Certification (Solutions Architect, Engineer, or Master) preferred
- Technical Support, Professional Services, Managed Services, or enterprise backup administration background
- Strong knowledge of Networking, Storage, and Linux Operating Systems
- Proficiency with TCP/IP networking, SCSI, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel
- Backup and recovery expertise for Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams)
- Database backup/recovery experience with Oracle, SAP/Oracle, and SAP HANA
- Hands-on experience with object storage (AWS S3, NetApp StorageGRID), data archive, private cloud (VMware, Hyper-V), and public cloud (AWS, Azure)
- Linux scripting proficiency
- Fluent English and Italian language skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills
