Zipher is building the Autonomous Execution Layer for cloud data and AI workloads. The company dynamically orchestrates clusters, predicts bottlenecks, and auto-heals infrastructure in real time with zero human intervention. The platform runs in production at global enterprise customers, including Fortune 500 companies, delivering mission-critical resilience and sub-second optimization.
As a Solution Engineer (Forward Deployed Engineer), you will take Zipher's autonomous execution engine into the production environments of the world's largest data and AI organizations. You will work embedded with customer engineering teams, write the code that connects Zipher to their live workloads, and own every deployment until it runs and delivers in production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deploy Zipher into customer production environments: design and build integrations, connectors, and deployment code that plug the engine into Databricks, Spark, Kubernetes, and AWS environments
- Write production code in the field: debug live pipelines and workloads, ship fixes and extensions, and turn one-off solutions into reusable building blocks
- Own each deployment end-to-end—architecture, rollout, and measured impact on cost, performance, and reliability—until the customer's team runs it with confidence
- Be the engineer enterprise teams reach for when it matters: provide on-call availability and responsiveness across global time zones for mission-critical production systems
- Bring field insights back into the product: work with core engineering and founders to turn customer solutions into platform capabilities
The role offers work on a product already winning in a new category of autonomous data platform, with millions of dollars in enterprise contracts signed. You will have an engineering seat in the field, write code, own deployment architecture, and shape what ships next. You will work on genuinely hard engineering problems at enterprise scale with a deliberately talent-dense team and direct access to founders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years writing production code as a software engineer (backend, full stack, or data)
- Career progression from development toward customer-facing or leadership roles (Solutions Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, Customer Engineer, tech lead, team lead, or architect)
- Strong production coding in Python or another backend language
- Hands-on depth in cloud infrastructure and data platforms (AWS, Databricks, Spark, Kubernetes, or adjacent technologies)
- Experience building solutions directly with B2B or B2E customers, deployed into their production systems
- BSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- Availability for on-call and global-hours responsiveness
- High-agency, customer-obsessed engineering mindset
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience as a developer in an elite IDF technology unit (8200, Mamram, Ofek, Matzpen) or other high-performance engineering environment
- Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, Kubernetes, or cloud-native data platforms
- Background in cloud cost optimization, FinOps, platform engineering, SRE, or data engineering
- Experience embedding complex B2B SaaS inside enterprise data, engineering, or AI teams
