Ease Health is building an AI-native operating system for behavioral health, backed by Andreessen Horowitz ($41M Series A). The company replaces fragmented clinic workflows (admissions, clinical documentation, billing) with a unified platform combining CRM, EHR, and revenue cycle management powered by AI.
In this role, you'll sit between customers and product, spending significant time inside behavioral health clinics observing clinicians, billers, and admissions staff to identify manual work that can be automated. You'll own problems end-to-end: scoping with customers, building, shipping, and supporting until the clinic relies on your solution.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and run production LLM pipelines and voice agents for intake calls, payer calls, and compliance checking
- Spend substantial time with customers on-site and on calls to deeply understand workflows before building solutions
- Make product decisions independently—there are no product managers, so you scope, build, and ship in days
- Own meaningful features that directly impact patient care (providers report 60-70% faster documentation, 30-40% more patient sessions, 50% reduction in intake labor costs)
The engineering culture emphasizes direct customer contact, rapid iteration, and shipping working software that solves real problems. You'll work from the NYC office with remote flexibility available for engineers with 8+ years of experience.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of software engineering experience (ideally 8+)
- Shipped LLM-powered features or voice AI products to real users (not prototypes or research)
- High agency: demonstrated ownership of non-trivial problems from conception to production
- Comfort engaging with customers and translating messy workflows into working software
- This is not a model research or training role; focus is on production systems and customer impact, not model architecture or publishing
