Salary: USD 130,000 - 250,000 / annual
Column is a developer-first bank and financial infrastructure platform founded by veterans from Plaid, Square, Meta, Blend, and Affirm. The company simplifies financial services by combining banking and software, eliminating the complex patchwork of traditional banking infrastructure.
You'll join a lean team of 11 engineers (expanding by 1-2) working across the full stack—from customer-facing applications and developer experiences to core APIs and systems processing billions of dollars daily. This is an end-to-end ownership role where you'll partner directly with customers to understand their needs, shape product decisions, and move quickly from concept to implementation.
Responsibilities include:
- Building polished, reliable software that solves real-world financial infrastructure problems
- Owning problems end-to-end, from customer conversations to technical implementation
- Influencing product direction and the technical roadmap of a platform handling massive transaction volumes
- Working across the stack on customer-facing and backend systems
- Embedding on-site with customers for extended periods (2–4 weeks) to understand and solve their challenges
This role is based in Column's San Francisco office (Presidio) with significant travel throughout the United States. Expect to be on the road 50%+ of the time.
