Platform Science is an open IoT platform founded in 2015 that connects fleets, app developers, vehicle manufacturers, and equipment suppliers in the transportation sector to deliver innovative solutions to supply chain professionals worldwide.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Londrina, Brazil (hybrid). You will leverage strong technical expertise across Java, Kotlin, Angular, and React to analyze customer demands, propose innovative solutions (including research of new technologies and frameworks), and ensure system quality and consistency. You will also support and mentor team members, sharing expertise and ensuring alignment with development best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop web solutions for the global market
- Work within functional teams composed of complementary expertise (Software, QA, Hardware, Product)
- Manage projects using agile methodologies
- Analyze customer requirements and propose technical solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge
- Ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices
Requirements:
- Advanced experience in API software development with Kotlin/Java or similar languages
- Web application development frameworks (SpringBoot)
- UI software development experience with React, Angular, or similar
- Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
- Cloud software development (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Test automation (unit and integration testing)
- Event-driven systems and streaming technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
Desirable:
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
- Holistic quality assurance (end-to-end, performance, etc.)
- NoSQL databases (ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Redis)
- Data consolidation tools (DOMO, AirFlow)
- Workflow tools (e.g., N8N)
- Vector data structures knowledge
