You will join as a Senior Software Engineer focused on platform engineering, building the foundational systems that enable the engineering organization to scale. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys writing code but is most motivated by improving how other engineers build software.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build internal tools, shared services, and automation that improve developer productivity across engineering teams
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and infrastructure enabling rapid, reliable software shipping
- Build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure, developer environments, and foundational services supporting the growing platform
- Improve observability, monitoring, and operational tooling to simplify debugging, maintenance, and operations
- Develop reusable frameworks, infrastructure components, and self-service tooling reducing manual work and accelerating development
- Partner with engineering teams to identify bottlenecks, improve workflows, and drive adoption of platform capabilities
- Own foundational engineering projects end-to-end, making pragmatic architectural decisions balancing reliability, scalability, and developer experience
You'll work across application code, infrastructure, and operational systems, solving complex technical challenges with outsized organizational impact. The technology stack includes serverless AWS (AppSync, DynamoDB, Lambda, Amplify, CloudFormation, Node), React Native, GraphQL, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
Sprinter operates on a hybrid schedule: Monday–Thursday in-office, Fridays work-from-anywhere. Daily lunch is provided in-office, with the team taking an hour together.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years building and scaling backend software, infrastructure, or platform systems in production
- Experience building internal developer tools, automation, shared services, or infrastructure supporting multiple engineering teams
- Hands-on work with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment systems, and production environments
- Designed and implemented reliable, maintainable software improving how other engineers build, test, deploy, or operate applications
- Led technical projects end-to-end from architecture through implementation, rollout, adoption, and maintenance
- Collaborated across engineering teams to understand developer pain points and translate them into scalable solutions
- Made technical decisions balancing developer productivity, operational reliability, and long-term maintainability

- Deliberate career focus on platform engineering, developer experience, infrastructure, or developer productivity
- Built internal platforms, CLIs, frameworks, or self-service tooling adopted by multiple engineering teams
- Improved engineering velocity through faster deployments, reliable CI/CD pipelines, or reduced operational overhead

- Measured success through developer adoption, deployment frequency, system reliability, or engineering efficiency improvements
