The Platform Integration team within Robot Software works at the boundary between onboard software and vehicle hardware, bringing up new vehicle platforms while building reusable components and frameworks that accelerate future integrations. In this role, you will combine hands-on vehicle and bench work with production software development. Your responsibilities include: - Support software bring-up on benches, hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) systems, and vehicles, including work at international test locations - Develop and maintain vehicle-facing software components and shared frameworks - Diagnose integration issues across software and hardware boundaries and drive resolution - Identify architectural improvements that reduce bespoke work and improve reuse across programs - Build diagnostics, tooling, and metrics for robot-software reliability and performance - Produce clear documentation and runbooks for long-term supportability - Collaborate with hardware, safety, controls, calibration, and reliability teams You will work on new vehicle-program bring-up across embedded compute, sensors, networks, and software services. The technical stack includes Linux-based robotic and automotive systems with multi-process and distributed architectures, ROS2 or similar middleware, sensor calibration and synchronization, automotive-grade compute platforms (NVIDIA DRIVE, Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride), vehicle communication systems (CAN, Automotive Ethernet), and shared abstractions that improve reliability. Wayve operates a hybrid model with main hubs in London, Sunnyvale, Yokohama, Herzliya, Vancouver, and Leonberg. The company offers relocation support and visa sponsorship where applicable, meaningful equity, learning and development budgets, and comprehensive benefits. REQUIREMENTS: - Strong software-development experience in C++, Python, or Rust - Delivered production-quality software on Linux-based robotic, embedded, or automotive platforms - Understanding of ROS2 or similar robotics middleware and distributed-system integration - Hands-on experience integrating software with vehicle or embedded hardware - Ability to diagnose complex problems using logs, telemetry, on-target tests, and systematic experimentation - Understanding of vehicle sensors, networking, and practical realities of platform bring-up VALUABLE EXPERIENCE: - Drive-by-wire systems - CAN tools - Shared frameworks - HiL or simulation - Functional safety - Technical documentation - Observability The company notes that not meeting every requirement is acceptable if you are passionate about autonomy and keen to learn.
