Flatpay is a fast-growing payment company expanding from in-store payments into online commerce. The Online domain is a strategic new engineering area, and this role offers the opportunity to join at an early stage while the platform scales.
You will design, develop, and maintain software solutions for online commerce and payments. Key responsibilities include building merchant- and customer-facing features, APIs, and services; taking ownership of features from design through deployment and maintenance; improving reliability, scalability, and performance of existing systems; collaborating with product managers and designers; participating in technical discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions; contributing to testing, deployment, and operational excellence; working across engineering teams to build integrated solutions; and helping improve engineering practices and tooling.
The tech stack spans backend (Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, Docker, AWS), frontend (TypeScript, React, TanStack Query, Jest, Playwright, i18n, feature flags), and platform/delivery (GitHub Actions, CI/CD, AWS ECS, observability & monitoring).

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building and operating production systems
- Comfortable working across modern backend and cloud technologies
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals
- Curious, pragmatic, and eager to learn
- Enjoy taking ownership and solving real customer problems
- Experience with payments, e-commerce, SaaS platforms, or fintech is a plus
