Toku is seeking a passionate Software Engineer to join a high-performing development team. You will work on designing, developing, and maintaining web applications in a full-stack environment, using Vue.js and TypeScript on the frontend with Python and FastAPI on the backend.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Vue.js (frontend) and Python/FastAPI (backend) in a full-stack capacity
- Collaborate with team members on requirements definition, solution design, testing, and deployment of new features and product improvements, ensuring scalable solutions
- Write readable, sustainable, and efficient code with quality assurance through automated testing and code reviews
- Participate in hiring decisions for future development team members

REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL
- Experience with version control tools like Git
- Ability to write readable, sustainable, and efficient code
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Motivation and passion for software development
- Capability to work across all areas of full-stack development
- Autonomy, adaptability, and willingness to experiment
- Understanding of trade-offs in technology and solution selection
- Availability for full-time work
Desirable:
- Experience developing web applications using TypeScript/Vue.js (frontend) and Python/FastAPI (backend)
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform and AWS
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience with automated testing and code reviews
