Fluidstack is building civilization-scale AI compute infrastructure, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers at gigawatt scale. The company is focused on deploying frontier compute infrastructure faster than anyone else by rethinking every layer of the stack.
As a Software Engineer on the Manufacturing & Supply Chain team (called "The Decision Team"), you will own end-to-end software systems that automate the delivery of gigawatts of compute. You'll work on four major problem areas:
1. **Bill of Materials to Order Book**: Transform templates into live procurement systems where every GPU, optical component, switchgear, and cooling unit is ordered from a single source of truth instead of spreadsheets. Every project bill locks against a building; every purchase order derives from the bill of materials.
2. **Procurement Tracking**: Build systems that make procurement status trustworthy by running rules against live vendor emails, documents, and general contractor purchase orders. Extractors you ship will catch drift the week it happens and draft recovery plans before vendors call.
3. **Receiving to Payment Loop**: Close the loop so every delivery matches a purchase order line, every warehouse bin knows its serial numbers, cycle counts are scored against accuracy gates, and finance three-way matches from the same record.
4. **Manufacturing as Software**: Ship manufacturing bills of materials, engineering change notices, and drawing trees in one model before the factory opens. Inspection and test plans generate per asset from design revision; failed checks open nonconformances with evidence attached.
You'll embed with sourcing leads, quality managers, factory operators, and warehouse teams on their floors and in vendor calls, turning their judgment into systems that decide order schedules, cash demand, and payment schedules.
The company operates with full autonomy (own things end to end, no permission required), insane urgency (drive everything forward as fast as possible), first-principles reasoning, and a focus on building something that matters to the world.
**Requirements:**
- Shipped production code in Go, Python, or TypeScript; ability to pick up whatever language the problem demands
- Built real features on LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-weight models), MCP servers, and agentic frameworks
- Put document extraction into production against messy real inputs
- Work daily with AI coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor; experience getting agents doing useful work autonomously
- Identify problems, design solutions, and ship without waiting for direction or approval
- Moved fast under deadline while leaving data models and foundations that other engineers extended
- Earned credibility with operators in factories, warehouses, or procurement; driven adoption of software inside their real deadlines (live production runs, quarter-end closes)
- Product taste demonstrated in shipped work: interfaces that are obvious to floor operators, workflows that match how work actually happens
- Bonus: MES, ERP, WMS, or TMS systems; BOM lineage, engineering change control, serialized component traceability; supplier quality (NCRs, CAPA, FAI); three-way match and receiving reconciliation; LLM extraction over vendor documents; high-volume hardware supply chains
