AiPrise is a global compliance orchestration platform serving fintechs, marketplaces, and payment companies. The platform integrates with 80+ identity and compliance vendors and is now building AI-powered compliance agents to revolutionize KYB, AML, sanctions screening, and risk scoring.
You will own the onboarding flow—the customer-facing part of AiPrise that end users interact with directly. Users enter details, scan IDs, take selfies, and upload documents through a React-based flow. Customers embed this flow in their own products via Web, Flutter, and React Native SDKs. Each customer configures their own steps, theme, and language, so the codebase must work reliably across many configurations, device types, and browsers.
This is a build-it, ship-it, own-it role on a small team where you'll own large parts of the flow from day one.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and improve onboarding screens for individuals (KYC) and businesses (KYB)
- Develop camera features including ID capture, selfie, and liveness detection; ensure reliability across iPhones, low-end Android phones, and mobile apps
- Maintain and improve Web, Flutter, and React Native SDKs to ensure the flow feels native inside customer applications
- Keep the flow fast and stable, including on low-end devices and slow networks
- Use data to identify and fix user drop-off points
- Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
- Debug production issues with urgency and own them until resolved
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineers
- Pick up backend work (Python) when features require it
Success metrics: In 3 months, you'll have shipped 2-3 features end-to-end and own one area such as ID capture or one of the SDKs. In 9 months, you'll be the go-to person for a large part of the onboarding flow and have demonstrably improved user-facing metrics like completion rate or speed on low-end phones.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must-have:
- 2–4 years of building and shipping web products in production
- Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, and React, including performance optimization and state management
- Good HTML and CSS with mobile-first, responsive design
- Good understanding of how browsers work on mobile, including camera access, permissions, and cross-browser issues
- Solid problem-solving and data structures/algorithms fundamentals
- Proven ability to own features end-to-end, from unclear requirements to production
- Care about user experience and ability to notice when a flow feels off
Nice-to-have:
- Flutter or React Native experience
- Experience building an SDK or library for other developers
- Experience with camera, video, or document scanning features
- Some backend experience in Python or Node.js
- Background in FinTech or identity verification
