Salary: USD 127,100 - 185,000 / annual
Join Twitch's Memberships team within the Commerce Engineering organization, where you'll build rewarding experiences that help creators make a living doing what they love. The team is responsible for continuous patronage features including channel Subscriptions, Gifting, and Turbo—systems that scale to millions of concurrent users.
In this role, you'll work alongside a highly engaged and collaborative team to design, build, and maintain systems that power creator monetization. You'll create interactive experiences that are rewarding for both viewers and creators, architect and build robust, scalable applications handling millions of concurrent users, participate in operational excellence work to maintain and support live services, and collaborate with fellow engineers, product managers, and designers to build new products and solutions.
The team is based in San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA. You'll be working on backend systems and services that directly impact Twitch's creator economy.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on building scalable systems
- Excellent proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, Java, Go) and distributed system technologies
- A track record of building product experiences that users love
- Sharp problem-solving skills with a focus on algorithms, data structures, and distributed system design
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent real-world experience
BONUS:
- Familiarity with Twitch's tech stack: Golang, TypeScript/React
- Experience with mobile development (native or hybrid)
- Experience with AWS technologies (ECS, DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, Step Functions)
- Passion for gaming, streaming, or the Twitch platform
