Salary: USD 77,100 - 126,860 / annual
Zynga, a global leader in interactive entertainment and label of Take-Two Interactive, is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Game of Thrones Slots team. The team is distributed across Austin, Chicago, San Mateo, and Toronto, working on one of Zynga's flagship mobile gaming titles.
In this role, you will architect and develop features and slot game functionality using Unity with C#, and build server-side systems in PHP. You'll dive into the internals of slot engine systems to extend and optimize them, develop tools for engineering and content creators, define and scope technical tasks and systems, and triage and address bugs quickly in a live gaming environment.
You'll be part of a well-rounded, passionate, and tight-knit distributed team with a healthy mix of engineering skill levels. The ideal candidate is self-driven, a strong communicator, works well as a team player, and performs well under tight deadlines. You should have a passion for games, high technical depth, and a strong desire to grow while building and deploying successful software features that delight players across 175+ countries.
The team focuses on solving challenging problems in slot machine development, including core gameplay mechanics, UI/UX, and engine-level systems. You'll have opportunities to work on performance optimization, mobile game development, and potentially contribute to slot machine-specific technical innovations.

REQUIREMENTS:
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
- 1–2 years of industry experience as a Software Developer; candidates from other fields should have 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience
- Experience with git version control
- Strong working knowledge of Unity and C#
- Experience building features on a server backend (PHP preferred)
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software methodologies
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative environment
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Mobile game development experience
- Performance profiling and optimization experience
- Experience developing slot machines
