LucidLink is a file streaming platform for large-file workflows, enabling teams instant access to cloud data without downloads, syncing, or VPNs. The company serves 4,000+ customers across 150+ countries and has received an Emmy Award for engineering innovation. You will own the metadata service rebuild—a foundational component that enables every customer interaction with LucidLink. This is a chance to move from research and scale analysis into concrete architecture and database decisions. You'll partner with Platform Engineering and DevOps to balance reliability, performance, and delivery speed. The work involves designing systems, selecting databases and protocols, and using data and benchmarks to drive improvements. You'll contribute to engineering quality through code review and design documentation, holding a high bar for reliability on a service every customer depends on. This role sits in a complex, data-intensive product space with connected services and technical depth that makes the engineering challenges especially interesting. You'll be comfortable working from an open problem to a working system—helping decide architecture, not just building to a spec. The team values ownership, craft, and real reliability. The interview process includes an initial conversation with People & Culture, a technical interview with engineers, a take-home assignment, a task review, and a final interview with VP of Engineering or Engineering Manager.
