Salary: USD 110,500 - 160,000 / annual
Twitch is the world's largest live streaming platform, hosting communities around gaming, entertainment, music, sports, cooking, and more. The Data Platform team develops and operates the infrastructure that powers Twitch's data systems and decision-making across the organization.
The Data Platform processes over 200 billion events per day, forwarding live data to tens of downstream systems and enabling decisions at all levels of the company. The team provides tools to store, transform, move, and understand data at massive scale.
As a Software Engineer on the Data Platform team, you will deliver the next generation of Twitch data technology. You will develop new capabilities in data warehouses and pipelines, improve the reliability, flexibility, and scalability of existing tools, and collaborate on the team's vision as Twitch scales to the next petabyte of data. You will also enhance workflows using AI tooling and review and shape the work of your peers in a collaborative engineering environment.
The role offers flexibility to work from either San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience as a Software Engineer
- Familiarity with scalability, concurrency, API design, data modeling, and distributed systems fundamentals
- Familiarity with AI coding tools
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience using Golang or Python
- Experience with distributed, highly available systems
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Contributions to open source projects
