Salary: USD 153,120 - 196,750 / annual
Roblox is building the platform and tools that empower a global community of developers and creators to build immersive 3D experiences. The Creator Studio team is responsible for unifying internal and external tooling into a single, best-in-class toolset that benefits both Roblox teams and external creators.
As a Software Engineer on the Creator Studio team, you will help build and shape the tools that Roblox teams use to build the Roblox app, and that creators use to build their experiences. You'll work on various internal and external tools for Roblox game developers, define architecture and implement reusable tooling frameworks, and design the technical direction for the future of the application. You will own and deliver complex technical projects from planning through execution, work cross-functionally across teams and technology platforms, and contribute to building a world-class professional application for massively multiplayer game development.
The role involves defining architecture, implementing reusable frameworks, designing and executing on technical direction, owning complex projects end-to-end, and collaborating across teams and platforms.
Roblox is headquartered in San Mateo, CA. Office-based roles require onsite presence Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of delivering high-quality production code
- Strong programming skills in at least one modern language (C++, C#, Lua, or similar)
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms, with aptitude for debugging complex issues
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related engineering field (or equivalent professional experience)
