Roblox is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Creator Experience LiveOps (ELO) team. This is a full-stack role working across backend services and the creator-hub web application (TypeScript/React) to ship features that enable creators to run live operations at platform scale—safely and efficiently, matching capabilities available to large studios.
The Experience LiveOps team builds runtime tools that allow creators to operate and tune their live experiences without shipping code releases. Key surfaces include Remote Configs (targeted, scheduled, and AI-assisted configuration), A/B Experimentation with real metrics and early harm detection, audience Segmentation, and Open Cloud/public APIs that expose all capabilities programmatically.
In this role, you will:
- Build and ship features across ELO's config, experimentation, and segmentation surfaces, including both backend services and creator-hub UI
- Own projects end-to-end from specification through launch, with support and mentorship from senior and principal engineers
- Partner with product management, design, discovery/DSA teams, and the Data Platform to deliver high-quality, well-instrumented features
- Participate in code reviews, share knowledge with teammates, and contribute to the team's on-call rotation
You will work closely with senior and principal engineers, product managers, and designers, owning meaningful pieces of work from day one.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1–3 years of industry experience building software systems
- Full-stack capability: comfortable moving between backend services and web frontend (TypeScript/React); willing to learn whichever half you know less well
- Strong execution focus: ability to take features from specification through launch with guidance from senior teammates; commitment to testing, monitoring, and follow-through
- Pragmatic and collaborative communication style; comfort with code review and feedback; low ego
- Curiosity and drive to understand why systems behave the way they do; commitment to staying current
